Do you express yourself easily and naturally? Do you feel your own unique energy that alters the entire space for others when you speak? Your voice transforms you and others in ways you don’t realize: It inspires or repels, energizes or deflates.
Your voice is a product of what you heard and experienced and then unconsciously incorporated as your own. It reflects your parents' voices and the power, tensions, fears, and traumas that you carry in your body, resulting in blockage and imbalance of energy in the 5th chakra in the area of the throat, known as Vishuddha.
In this exciting breakthrough experience, you will learn to open your voice past these limitations. Through unique breathwork practices, energy movements, and vocal techniques, you will unleash the sound of your soul!

ABOUT THE POWER OF VOICE
The Power of Voice intensive workshop was created by Bodhi Avinasha, the founder of Ipsalu and author of two books on the subject of tantra practice: Jewel in the Lotus and The Ipsalu Formula – A Method for Tantra Bliss. Bodhi was a master musician in her own right, and through this workshop she was able to create a fusion of her two passions: music and tantra!
Your voice quality is unique, an energy that distinguishes you. It’s the result of how you use resonance chambers in your body to create overtones. You can use vibration to create a standing wave in your body, a sound column that connects and supports all the energy centers and opens the flow of highest vibration – Kundalini.
Sharing your song with others in a common vibration melts the boundaries that hold you separate from others. In this intimate union of sound, you can embody celebration, the feeling of divine presence, and profound gratitude. As vibrations merge, hearts join in deep communion. Consciousness shifts into remembering your magnificence in union with everyone and everything.

"The first thirty years of my life I was totally involved with music – studying, performing, and teaching. The next thirty years I spent with psychology and yogic practice, but it began to dawn on me that what I was doing to accomplish the yogic goals were the same things that my singing teachers told me to do to get a good tone. It’s another pathway to access the same state of consciousness. Singing with a group, you lose your boundaries, where your voice disappears into the sound of the choir. It’s a very sweet moment, a totally yogic experience."

ABOUT YOUR TEACHERS
Ian and Margo began their Ipsalu journey in 2016 and were at once drawn to the deeply transformative and heart-centered practices, using them to help guide their relationship. They went on to complete all four of the Cobra Breath intensives together under the guidance of Nayano Burdine. In 2019 they began their teacher training and became regular facilitators for the online practice group during the pandemic. In 2020, they were honored to study directly under Bodhi Avinasha and were given the tools to carry on Bodhi's vision through the Power of Voice course. Ian and Margo were also invited to join Ipsalu’s Executive Committee, and they help to organize various projects that expand and enrich the community. They believe that Ipsalu’s open-hearted practices can be a vital tool for healing individuals, helping them to have healthier relationships and in turn bringing greater peace and harmony to the world.
Ian Boccio has been offering mantra music and meditation programs to the public since 2008. He is currently a singer, bassist, and keyboardist for The Spirit Messengers, a progressive rock band that incorporates Sanskrit mantras and Bhakti Yoga practices. Ian actively promotes the benefits of mantra repetition, both on a personal level and for the world as a whole. He has facilitated weekly chanting circles in Atlanta and traveled throughout the U.S. teaching weekend Mantra Chant Intensives. He has also been called upon to lecture and teach on Sanskrit, mantra, and chanting for many Yoga Teacher Trainings. In 2010, Ian helped to create the ChantLanta Sacred Music Festival, a charity organization that raises awareness of chanting and yoga practices through its annual event, which has supported both local and international nonprofit organizations and encouraged people to give their time and/or money to help others in a spirit of selfless service. Most importantly, Ian strives to work on himself, further refining his own energy through his personal mantra practice, to become an ever more transparent vehicle for the Divine Grace that brought him here.
Margo Gomes is a Certified Yoga Instructor and has been teaching since 2014. She also completed certification as a Vibrational Sound Therapist in 2017 and is passionate about sharing the extraordinary ability of sound vibrations to repair aspects of ourselves that are out of alignment and to restore harmony and wholeness to body, mind, and spirit. Sound vibrations, including the resonant vibrations of your own voice, produce a state of profound relaxation in the body and mind that allows stagnant energy to begin to flow and enables the body to begin to heal itself, thus enhancing our health and wellbeing, heightening our consciousness, and bringing balance and harmony into our daily lives.

This 4 day course for singles or couples will allow you to rediscover bliss and vibrancy in body, mind and spirit. Recent research shows that MOVEMENT can prevent some diseases, ease the symptoms of others, and even reverse some chronic conditions. Using both ancient and modern techniques will enable you to release blocks that prevent you from living in your bliss body. The Learning to Move in Bliss Course will:

The Ipsalu Formula has proven to be transformative over decades of experimentation; allowing for the release of limitations that hold you from joy and bliss in authentic movement. Cultivate an awareness in each moment that will expand into freedom on many levels.
Cobra Breath is not required for this course. This course is welcoming to all genders, all body types and abilities. No previous experience is necessary.
This experience is being offered at the beautiful Hope Springs Institute, a transformative retreat center in Appalachian Ohio.

______________MOVING IN BLISS playshop was created by Cynthia McCarthy and Tracy Jo Duckworth, Certified Ipsalu Tantra Mentors and Teachers with over 40 years of combined teaching experience. Each teacher has assisted at numerous Ipsalu workshops. Each has extensive experience leading day long, weekend and evening programs.
Cynthia McCarthy is a spiritual seeker with over 20 years of practicing and teaching Ipsalu Tantra Kriya Yoga. She has retired from her 35 year career as a health inspector and project manager, and now works part-time leading her own consulting firm. Cynthia has a B.S. in pre-veterinary science from the University of Illinois; graduate studies in animal genetics from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland; and, graduate studies in Ethical Leadership from Thomas More University. She is a published industry expert in lead poisoning prevention and mitigation. Cynthia creates and presents programs to diverse audiences. She has served on the Ohio Governor’s Task Force to set priorities and budget for state spending. Ipsalu Tantra has been instrumental in creating a beautiful balance between life in the three-dimensional world and living in the mystery. She brings this balance into her teaching, creating a safe container for movement and exploration. She has three grown sons, loves play, animals, and the outdoors.
Tracy Jo Duckworth is a Certified Ipsalu Tantra Yoga Teacher and Mentor and has been teaching since 2003. She is also a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor and has been teaching since 1999. Additionally she is a culinary instructor, licensed massage therapist, political activist, death positive worker, workshop facilitator, consultant and right-brained girl who attempts to live creatively in the left-brained world of Cincinnati, Ohio. She has taught thousands of students over her career. She is dedicated to improving the quality of people’s lives through yoga, sound, death work, aromatherapy, food and massage. She has a quarter century of marketing experience with the Eureka Ranch working with Fortune 500 companies to brainstorm new ideas for consumer packaged goods. Tracy Jo has a degree in Home Economics Education from Penn State University and has also been fortunate enough to continue her education at the CIA– not that CIA– the Culinary Institute of America in New York. She has been teaching culinary classes since 1992. She currently teaches cooking and life skills classes to at-risk youth.

If you need to cancel your registration and notice is received before May 15, 2025, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee. If you cancel by July 10, 2025, you are eligible for a partial refund of any payments received minus a $300 cancellation fee.
If notice of cancellation is made before September 10, 2025, you will receive a partial refund of any payments received over the deposit amount of $480.
No refunds will be issued for cancellation after September 10, 2025.
